Wifi Router Electricity Consume How Much Electricity Bill Comes After Using WiFi Router All Day And Night

Wifi Router Electricity Consume: In today’s internet world, a WiFi router has become an essential device. Smart home cannot be imagined without it. Along with this, WiFi is also used in office work. WiFi connects multiple devices to the internet at the same time. However, after installing WiFi at home or office, many people are concerned about how much power the WiFi router consumes, especially when it is being used day and night. In this article, we will know how much power a WiFi router consumes when used continuously in India.

wifi router power consumption

The power consumption of a WiFi router depends on its specs, usage time and other factors. Typically, a Wi-Fi router in India consumes 6 to 20 watts of power per hour depending on its electricity rating and usage patterns. Now to find out how much power a WiFi router consumes in a day, we need to find out its hourly power consumption and the number of hours it is used.

Let’s assume that the router consumes an average of 10 watts per hour and is used continuously for 24 hours a day. So the total energy consumption of the router per day will be

Power consumption per hour x Number of hours used per day = Energy consumption per day

10 watts x 24 hours = 240 watt-hours

This means that if you use your WiFi router continuously for 24 hours, it can consume 240 watt-hours of power per day.

This much bill can come in a month

To calculate the monthly power consumption of the WiFi router, we have to multiply the daily consumption by the number of days in a month i.e. 30 days.

Energy consumed per day x Number of days in a month = Energy consumed per month

240 Wh x 30 = 7200 Wh or 7.2 kWh

This means that even if you use your WiFi router continuously for a month, it can consume around 7.2 kWh of electricity. The cost of electricity in India varies depending on the state. The average cost of electricity in India is around Rs 7 to 10 per kilowatt hour. Suppose the cost of electricity is Rs 9 per kilowatt hour, then 7.2 kWh x 9 = Rs 64.8 is made. This means that if you use your WiFi router continuously for a month, then its cost can be around Rs 64.8.
